Held on Friday mornings between 10.00 and 1.00, Stitch and Chat is a needle-craft group for ladies, a fun time to get together and make things, from knitting hats and scarves to designing and making cushion covers and bags and anything in between. Current members are Nepalese who are learning new craft skills and practicing their English as they knit, sew, weave and crochet, as well as showing volunteers their amazing ability to knit complex garments from memory without resorting to the use of patterns. Items they have made have been sold to raise funds for the continuation of the group.
Stich & Chat is held at:
Back Hall United Reformed Church, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent.
