Introduction to Customer Service


Volunteering is an excellent way of developing new skills and utilising existing ones, as well as a fun way of meeting new people. It can also be a stepping-stone back into employment.


Shepway Volunteer Centre believes that volunteering should be open to all, but recognises that some people may need a little extra help to get started. It is therefore offering FREE training via the course above.

Lunch and refreshments are included


This course is run over 1 day and is designed to provide an introduction to the skills required to deliver a good basic standard of customer service:

This course is open to any adult over 19 who is unwaged or low waged, but may be particularly helpful to the following groups:


Unemployed or low waged people 19+

Adults with low skills not engaged in learning

Those in receipt of various benefits

Those living in rural areas (travel expenses can be paid)

Women wanting to return to work

People who have never volunteered before


No formal qualifications are required.
